“They say nothing lasts forever …dreams change, trends come and go, but friendships never go out of style.” – Carrie Bradshaw
i think every girl (or guy!) who moves to NYC from the late 90s on has some sort of fantasy that their life will amount to something of that seen in Sex and the City. You know, graciously hailing for a taxi and getting one instantly, fleeting down brownstone steps in a fresh pair of Manolo Blahniks, dining in the west village in a candlelit setting while a sax plays outside. i know for me, having one of these moments was something i always imagined. it was more the carrie with her friends type of scene and we all just came from our fabulous job, meeting up at a fabulous spot (in the west village) all looking, you guessed it, FABULOUS. well, last night this carrie bradshaw moment happened.
for my birthday, my three closest girlfriends out in nyc all came through looking their finest for my early birthday celebration. the dress code: carrie bradshaw. if you're unfamiliar to the show, that basically means look EXTRA, funky, over the top, CHIC, etc. carrie is not afraid to push the limits of "fashun" and neither are my friends. ah, i love these girls so much! as each one of my friends arrived, i was in awe of how good their outfits looked! since we all looked our finest, we had a mini photoshoot. there is nothing better than having friends who are just as into getting the perfect gram as you are. i think we spent at least an hour outside making sure we got our best solo and group shots. thank you to the angel woman who stopped to take our picture in the middle of the street! you made the night complete. see the pics below!
